COVID restrictions and religious services Even though official restrictions are being gradually eased, in practical terms we must continue to observe sanitisation, hand hygiene, the wearing of face masks, social distancing and proper ventilation, as we have done throughout the emergency. We have been allowed to proceed to 50% capacity at our religious services and each parish has to look to its own situation and make appropriate decisions and adjustments to keep safe all who attend our churches. Visits to the Sick Pope’s September prayer intention: ‘An environmentally sustainable lifestyle’. People should change the way they eat, travel and use natural resources, energy and products so they minimize their harm to the earth, Pope Francis said. “We pray that we all will make courageous choices for a simple and environmentally sustainable lifestyle, rejoicing in our young people who are resolutely committed to this.”
